In the past of couple of weeks, we have been delighted to come home each day to bags of donated clothes and boxes of Combantrin being left outside our front door.
We have 25kg of donated kids clothes which we are bringing with us from Sydney. Plus another 50kg of clothes which Henny's brother Dave has collected in Singapore from his contacts.
The majority of the Combantrin have been shipped to Manila ahead of time as we are unable to bring so many with us in person.
The rest of the supplies (such as kids stationery and toys, and food items) we will buy in Manila when we arrive.
We set a fundraising goal of AU$1,000 and instead managed to raise over $5,000 in Sydney and another $2,000 in Singapore. So that means we are able to do more! How wonderful! As we are self-funding our trip, every $ raised will go towards the people who need it the most.
Thanks to everyone for their generosity - it has been truly heartwarming.
